El día de hoy se confirmó que el aclamado juego de acción y aventuras del Clover Studio, Okami, llegará a la PC, el PlayStation 4 y el Xbox One el próximo 12 de diciembre bajo el nombre Okami HD. Por supuesto, esta nueva versión tendrá gráficos actualizados, en ultra alta definición (UHD 4K) y pantalla ancha (los nostálgicos podrán también jugarlo en la relación original de 4:3 si así lo desean).
Para los que no conocen el juego, la trama sucede dentro de la historia clásica japonesa, combinando mitos, folclore y leyendas niponas. Aquí controlaremos a Okami Amaterasu, la diosa del sol en la forma del legendario lobo blanco Shiranui y deberemos de restaurar la zona que ahora está bajo el hechizo del demonio Orochi.
El juego original se lanzó en el PlayStation 2 en el 2006 y tuvo versiones en las consolas Wii (en el 2008) y PlayStation 3 (en el 2012, HD). Recibió muy buenas críticas en su momento y en el 2010 se lanzó en Japón Okamiden, su secuela directa exclusiva de la consola portátil DS de Nintendo que llegó al occidente al siguiente año.
Regresando a la nueva remasterización, también se liberó hoy el tráiler de anuncio de esta versión que podrán ver en el siguiente reproductor. Y para completar la entrada, bajo el avance les dejamos el soundtrack del juego original con canciones compuestas por Masami Ueda, Hiroshi Yamaguchi, Rei Kondoh, Akari Groves y JUN. Esta banda sonora cuenta con cinco discos que en conjunto duran poco más de cinco horas y media. Después encontrarán dos álbumes más, el “Piano Arrange” y el “Retro Version”, compartidos por ItsuVGM.
