Nota Original (12/06/2017):
Sony, durante su conferencia del E3 2017, anunció oficialmente el juego Monster Hunter: World el cual confirman que saldrá a principios del 2018 en la PC, el PlayStation 4 y el Xbox One. Por lo que se ve en el avance, estará enfocado a un sólo jugador aunque se confirma que se podrá jugar en línea hasta cuatro usuarios.
La franquicia de Monster Hunter incluye principalmente juegos de RPG y acción en la que controlamos a cazadores de gigantescos monstruos. En el nuevo título nuestra misión será la de cazar estos grandes seres en diversos ambientes. Una vez que los derrotemos podremos quedarnos como recompensa ciertos materiales que después usaremos para forjar mejor armamento y armadura que podrá equipar nuestro personaje y así enfrentarnos a monstruos cada vez más poderosos y peligrosos.

*Actualización 2 (19/09/2017): Durante la conferencia de prensa de Sony del Tokyo Game Show 2017 se reveló un nuevo avance de este título que confirma su lanzamiento en consolas para el 26 de enero del 2018, mientras que a la PC llegará después.
*Actualización 3 (26/01/2018): El día de hoy ya se encuentra disponible este esperado juego de Capcom. Para recordárnoslo, a continuación podrán ver el tráiler de lanzamiento oficial y bajo éste encontrarán un reproductor con el Special Soundtrack que se incluye en la Edición del Coleccionista del juego. Esta banda sonora contiene temas compuestos por Tadayoshi Makino, Teiran Kang, Akihiko Narita, Yuko Komiyama y Masato Kouda.
*Actualización 4 (16/02/2018): Se ha liberado el soundtrack completo de este juego que pueden escuchar desde el reproductor que se encuentra debajo del tráiler de lanzamiento (reemplazando al Special Soundtrack).
*Actualización 5 (09/07/2018): Capcom confirma que este 9 de agosto se lanzará a la venta en PC (Steam) y para celebrarlo han liberado un nuevo tráiler que les dejamos aquí mismo.

El primer juego de la serie se lanzó en el 2004 para el PlayStation 2 en su tierra natal y al siguiente año en el occidente. Ha lanzado más de una docena de títulos principales, siendo el más reciente Monster Hunter XX, el cual saldrá en el América para el 3DS y el Switch de Nintendo en un mes más, este 15 de julio (en tierras niponas han estado disfrutando de dicho juego desde finales de noviembre… ¡del 2015!).[/wptab]
