La banda japonesa de post-rock MONO lanzó a la venta el día (14 de octubre) de ayer su más reciente álbum, titulado Requiem for Hell. Este disco (el noveno de estudio) fue anunciado a mediados del mes de julio de este año y fue producido, grabado y mezclado por Steve Albini quien había ya colaborado con esta agrupación en tres ocasiones anteriores. Los seguidores de MONO y algún otro interesado podrán escuchar el mencionado nuevo disco más abajo (son cinco canciones que juntas duran casi cincuenta minutos).
Esta banda se formó en 1999 en la ciudad de Tokio, Japón, y consiste en cuatro miembros, Takaakira “Taka” Goto, Hideki “Yoda” Suematsu, Tamaki Kunishi y Yasunori Takada. Los anteriores discos de estudio de la agrupación son Under the Pipal Tree (2001), One Step More and You Die (2002), Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered and the Sun Shined (2004), You Are There (2006), Hymn to the Immortal Wind (2009), For My Parents (2012) y el doble álbum The Last Dawn/Rays of Darkness (2014).
