Marilyn Manson – Discografía (1994-2020)

El día de hoy se ha publicado oficialmente el décimo álbum de estudio, Heaven Upside Down, de la banda de rock estadounidense Marilyn Manson, así que es un buen momento para cualquier seguidor de esta agrupación para escuchar todos los discos de estudio que han lanzado. Más abajo podrán hacer esto, pero antes para los que no los conozcan, hablaremos un poco de su historia y trayectoria.

La banda fue fundada en 1989 por el cantante Marilyn Manson (nombre artístico de Brian Hugh Warner) y el guitarrista Daisy Berkowitz (nombre artístico de Scott Mitchell Putesky) y originalmente se llamó Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids. Se han caracterizado por su actuación y comportamiento de impacto, vestimenta extravagante y letras de canciones con contenido anti-religioso, sexual, violencia y drogas. En 1993 llamaron la atención de la disquera Nothing Records de Trent Reznor, lanzando su primer álbum de estudio, Portrait of an American Family, al siguiente año. En 1996 se liberó el segundo disco, Antichrist Superstar, que fue seguido dos años después por Mechanical Animals. Continuó con Holy Wood (2000), The Golden Age of Grotesque (2003), Eat Me, Drink Me (2007), The High End of Low (2009), Born Villain (2012) y el anterior al nuevo, The Pale Emperor (2015).

Como dato adicional, para los que gustan de soundtracks, Manson realizó la banda sonora de la película Resident Evil (2002), junto a Marco Beltrami y Clint Mansell. También ha colaborado en otras bandas sonoras junto a Tyler Bates, como en la cinta de John Wick: Otro Día para Matar y recientemente en Atómica (Atomic Blonde). Bates es el guitarrista principal de la banda Marilyn Manson.
