Britannia es una serie británica de drama histórico escrita por Jez Butterworth y con las actuaciones de David Morrissey, Kelly Reilly, Mackenzie Crook, Zoë Wanamaker, Eleanor Worthington-Cox, Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Stanley Weber e Ian McDiarmid.
Esta serie, que consta de diez episodios, es la primera co-producción entre el canal europeo Sky y Amazon Prime Video. Se estrenó el día de ayer en el Reino Unido mientras que en Estados Unidos debutará la próxima semana, este 26 de enero. Aprovechando que el día de hoy se publicó su soundtrack oficial, vamos conociendo un poco sobre su trama para después ver el tráiler y escuchar la banda sonora.
La historia aquí toma lugar en el año 43 de nuestra era y se enfoca en la conquista romana de Britania. El ejército romano, igualmente determinado y aterrorizado, regresa a aplastar a los celtas en su misteriosa tierra gobernada por mujeres guerreras y poderosos druidas que pueden canalizar las fuerzas misteriosas del inframundo. Las rivales celtas, Kerra (Reilly) y Antedia (Wanamaker), tendrán que unir sus fuerzas para poder enfrentarse a la invasión romana liderada por Aulus Plautius (Morrisey).
